Description

Walking Banana Pudding is a fun and portable twist on the classic Southern dessert, made by layering banana pudding ingredients into individual snack-size cookie bags for easy serving and cleanup.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 small bags of vanilla wafer cookies
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant banana pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/4 cup crushed vanilla wafers (for garnish)
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips or caramel drizzle for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping gently until well combined.
  3. Open each vanilla wafer snack bag carefully down the side or top to create a pouch.
  4. Add a few banana slices into each bag.
  5. Spoon the pudding mixture over the bananas in each bag.
  6. Top with crushed vanilla wafers and optional toppings like chocolate chips or caramel drizzle.
  7. Serve immediately with a spoon, right from the bag.

Notes

  • Best served immediately to keep cookies crunchy.
  • Can be prepped a few hours ahead but add crushed toppings just before serving.
  • Great for parties, picnics, or kids’ events.
