A classic Waldorf Salad made with crisp apples, celery, grapes, and walnuts, tossed in a light whipped cream dressing for a refreshing and slightly sweet flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups apples, cored and chopped
- 1 cup celery, thinly sliced
- 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Add the celery, grapes, and walnuts to the bowl with the apples. Toss gently to mix.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the sugar and a pinch of salt until soft peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the fruit and nut mixture until evenly coated.
- Chill the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve cold, optionally garnished with additional walnuts or grapes.
Notes
- Use red and green apples for added color and variety.
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for whipped cream for a healthier option.
