Description

This honey butter toast dessert is rich, golden, and incredibly satisfying. It’s made with thick-cut bread that’s crispy on the outside and soft inside, coated in a sweet honey-butter glaze, and often finished with toppings like ice cream, fruits, or whipped cream. A perfect blend of sweet, buttery, and crunchy that’s gone viral for a reason!


Ingredients

  • 2 thick slices of brioche or milk bread (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick)

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey (plus more for drizzling)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for extra crunch)

  • Vanilla ice cream (for topping)

  • Fresh fruit (like strawberries or bananas, optional)

 

  • Whipped cream (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with honey (and sugar if using) until well combined.

  3. Cut each bread slice into a 3×3 grid, but don’t cut all the way through—leave the bottom intact so the cube shape holds.

  4. Spread the honey butter mixture generously over the top and into the cuts of the bread.

  5. Place the bread slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the tops are golden and crispy.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 1–2 minutes.

  8. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of honey, and fresh fruit or whipped cream if desired.

  9. Serve immediately and enjoy while warm!


Notes

  • You can substitute brioche with any thick, soft bread, like Texas toast.

  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or a drop of vanilla extract to the butter mix for extra flavor.

  • Toast can also be made in an air fryer at 350°F for 5–6 minutes.
