- 8 oz lo mein noodles
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 cup snow peas
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for vegetarian)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sugar, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat sesame oil and vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, and snow peas. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add cooked noodles and the sauce to the pan. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
Notes
- Use tamari for a gluten-free version.
- Feel free to substitute with any vegetables you have on hand.
- For added protein, toss in tofu or tempeh.
