- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding
- 2 cups milk
- Food coloring (pink, blue, purple)
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- Assorted unicorn-themed sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Prepare the white cake mix according to package directions using eggs, water, and oil.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly, then use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly across the cake.
- In a bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Divide the pudding into 3 bowls and tint each with a different food coloring (pink, blue, purple).
- Spoon the colored pudding into the holes of the cake, alternating colors to create a rainbow effect.
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cake.
- Decorate with unicorn-themed sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a more vibrant color, use gel food coloring.
- Let the cake chill thoroughly to help the pudding set well.
- You can use homemade whipped cream if preferred.
