Description

These soft and chewy M&M’S cookies are loaded with colorful chocolate candies and a hint of vanilla. They bake up with crisp edges and soft centers, making them a favorite for kids and adults alike. Perfect for parties, lunchboxes, or just a sweet treat at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 cups M&M’S (plus extra for topping)

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

  6. Fold in the M&M’S and chocolate chips, if using.

  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, spacing about 2 inches apart.

  8. Gently press a few extra M&M’S on top of each dough ball for a bakery-style look.

  9. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will look soft but will set as they cool.

  10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.


Notes

  • For extra chewy cookies, slightly underbake and let them finish setting on the tray.

  • You can chill the dough for 30 minutes to reduce spreading.
