- 1 bottle (750ml) white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, to taste)
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup oranges, sliced into rounds
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 cup green grapes, halved
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup red grapes, halved
- 1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda (optional, for topping off)
- Ice, for serving
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Stir well.
- Layer the fruits in a large pitcher or beverage dispenser in rainbow order: strawberries, oranges, pineapple, green grapes, blueberries, and red grapes.
- Pour the wine mixture over the layered fruits.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld.
- Just before serving, stir gently and top with club soda or lemon-lime soda if desired.
- Serve over ice in glasses, making sure to include some of each fruit in every serving.
Notes
- You can substitute or add fruits based on seasonal availability.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup.
- Use sparkling wine or prosecco for a bubbly version.
- For a non-alcoholic version, replace wine and liquor with white grape juice and a splash of orange juice.
