Description
Crispy and golden French fries made in the air fryer with minimal oil, perfect for a healthier twist on the classic favorite.
Ingredients
- 3 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into evenly sized fries.
- Soak the fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry thoroughly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
- Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until fries are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Soaking the fries helps them become crispier when cooked.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Adjust seasonings to taste or try different spice blends.
