Description

A flavorful and aromatic Thai Basil Chicken stir-fry recipe that’s quick and easy to make. This dish combines ground chicken with a savory sauce and fresh Thai basil leaves for a delicious meal served over jasmine rice.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 Thai chilies (finely chopped, or to taste)
  • 1 small onion (sliced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • cooked jasmine rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and aromatics: Heat oil in a skillet, sauté garlic and chilies.
  2. Add vegetables: Cook onion and bell pepper until slightly softened.
  3. Cook chicken: Add ground chicken, cook until browned.
  4. Season: Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar.
  5. Finish and serve: Turn off heat, stir in Thai basil, serve over rice.

Notes

  • If Thai basil isn’t available, substitute with Italian basil or holy basil.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of lime juice or top with a fried egg.
  • Adjust chilies to your preferred spice level.
