Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
Additional Ingredients:
- 2 Thai chilies (finely chopped, or to taste)
- 1 small onion (sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- cooked jasmine rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Heat oil and aromatics: Heat oil in a skillet, sauté garlic and chilies.
- Add vegetables: Cook onion and bell pepper until slightly softened.
- Cook chicken: Add ground chicken, cook until browned.
- Season: Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar.
- Finish and serve: Turn off heat, stir in Thai basil, serve over rice.
Notes
- If Thai basil isn’t available, substitute with Italian basil or holy basil.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of lime juice or top with a fried egg.
- Adjust chilies to your preferred spice level.
