Description

Taco Sliders are mini sandwiches packed with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and taco toppings, served on slider buns—perfect for parties or casual dinners.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or taco sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened, then remove from heat.
  4. Cut slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
  5. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish. Spread taco meat evenly over them.
  6. Top with shredded cheese, then add tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños if using.
  7. Place the top halves of the buns over the filling.
  8. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and oregano. Brush over the tops of the buns.
  9. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 5 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  10. Garnish with lettuce and serve with sour cream or taco sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner option.
  • Sliders can be assembled ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Top with guacamole or salsa for added flavor.
