Description

Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake is a light and fruity dessert made with layers of angel food cake, sweet strawberry pie filling, creamy vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. It’s no-bake, super easy to put together, and perfect for warm weather or any time you want a refreshing treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling

  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • Fresh strawberries, sliced (for garnish – optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, milk, and sour cream until smooth. Let it chill for 5 minutes to thicken.

  2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread half of the cubed angel food cake across the bottom.

  3. Spoon half of the strawberry pie filling evenly over the cake layer.

  4. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the strawberries.

  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake cubes, pie filling, and pudding mixture.

  6. Top with whipped topping and spread evenly.

  7. If desired, garnish with fresh sliced strawberries.

  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute angel food cake with pound cake if preferred.

  • For a tangier flavor, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.

  • Try using other pie fillings like cherry or blueberry for variation.
