Description

This refreshing Strawberry Almond Milk recipe combines homemade almond milk with fresh strawberries, creating a creamy, naturally sweetened beverage perfect for a nutritious start to your day or a healthy snack. Made from soaked almonds, fresh or frozen strawberries, and lightly sweetened with maple syrup, this dairy-free, vegan drink is easy to prepare and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Almond Milk Base

  • 1 cup raw almonds (soaked overnight)
  • 3 cups filtered water

Strawberry Flavoring

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)
  • 23 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Almond Milk Base: Drain and rinse the soaked almonds thoroughly. Place the almonds into a high-speed blender along with 3 cups of filtered water. Blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Strain Almond Milk: Pour the blended almond mixture through a nut milk bag or a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher. Squeeze or press gently to extract as much liquid as possible from the almond pulp, leaving behind the solids.
  3. Add Strawberry and Sweeteners: Rinse out the blender to prevent any leftover pulp from affecting the texture. Pour the strained almond milk back into the blender. Add the fresh or frozen hulled strawberries, maple syrup or honey to your taste, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the almond milk mixture again on high until the strawberries are fully incorporated and the milk is smooth and creamy.
  5. Chill and Serve: Transfer the strawberry almond milk to a container and chill it in the refrigerator before serving. Shake or stir well before each use to maintain an even texture.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup or honey according to your preference.
  • For an ultra-smooth texture, strain the milk a second time after blending with strawberries.
  • Store the finished almond milk in the refrigerator and consume within 4 days.
  • Freeze leftover almond pulp to use later in baking recipes or smoothies, reducing waste.
