- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1–2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as sriracha or Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice

- Salt to taste
- Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Melt Butter: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter carefully to avoid browning.
- Add Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes: Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1–2 minutes while stirring often until the garlic is fragrant but not browned to prevent bitterness.
- Incorporate Hot Sauce and Seasonings: Mix in the hot sauce, lemon juice, and smoked paprika if using, then simmer gently for another 1–2 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Season and Remove from Heat: Add salt to taste according to your preference and remove the saucepan from heat promptly.
- Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle chopped parsley over the sauce before serving warm. Use immediately or reheat gently when ready to serve.
Notes
- This sauce is excellent for tossing with shrimp, chicken wings, pasta, or roasted vegetables.
- You can prepare the sauce ahead of time and gently reheat it on the stove or microwave before serving.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes and hot sauce to control the spiciness level.
- The smoked paprika adds a subtle smoky depth but can be omitted if unavailable.
