Ingredients
Scale
Truffle Mixture
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups crushed snickerdoodle cookies (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Coating and Topping
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips or white candy melts
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, crushed snickerdoodle cookies, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and has a dough-like consistency.
- Form Balls and Chill: Scoop the mixture into 1-inch balls using a spoon or your hands, placing them evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 20 to 30 minutes until the truffles are firm and easier to dip.
- Melt White Chocolate: Place white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Dip Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, coat each chilled truffle fully with the melted white chocolate. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
- Add Cinnamon-Sugar Topping: Immediately sprinkle the tops of the coated truffles with the cinnamon-sugar mixture (2 tablespoons granulated sugar mixed with ½ teaspoon cinnamon) before the chocolate sets.
- Set and Serve: Allow the truffles to set at room temperature or refrigerate them for 15 to 20 minutes until the coating firms up. Store chilled until ready to serve.
Notes
- Store truffles in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for extended storage.
- Substitute snickerdoodle cookies with gingersnaps or graham crackers if desired.
- Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to make mixing easier and achieve smooth consistency.
- Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during chilling and dipping.
- For a festive touch, try adding a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon-sugar topping.
