Description

Shrimp tacos are a flavorful and fresh dish featuring seasoned shrimp, topped with crisp veggies, and served in a soft tortilla, perfect for a quick and tasty meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and lime juice until well coated.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  3. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
  4. To assemble, place a few shrimp on each tortilla, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro.
  5. Drizzle with sour cream and optional sriracha sauce for a little heat.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to add avocado slices or guacamole for extra creaminess.
  • For a lighter version, skip the sour cream and use a yogurt-based sauce.
  • You can use flour tortillas instead of corn if preferred.
