- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F)
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Optional: pepperoni slices or cooked sausage
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add salt, olive oil, and flour. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Grease a 13×18 inch sheet pan.
- Roll out the dough and press it evenly into the prepared pan.
- Spread pizza sauce over the dough, sprinkle garlic powder and oregano, then top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Add any optional toppings.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice into rectangles and serve.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
- Use parchment paper for easier cleanup and removal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or toaster oven.
