Description
A vibrant, fruity party punch combining scoops of rainbow sherbet with citrus sodas for a colorful and refreshing beverage.
Ingredients
- 1 quart rainbow sherbet (about 4 cups)
- 2 liters lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7-Up), chilled
- 2 cups pineapple juice, chilled
- 1 cup orange juice, chilled
- Fresh fruit slices for garnish (optional) – such as oranges, lemons, limes
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large punch bowl, add scoops of rainbow sherbet evenly across the bottom.
- Slowly pour the chilled pineapple juice and orange juice over the sherbet.
- Gradually add the chilled lemon-lime soda to avoid excessive foam.
- Gently stir once to combine; let the sherbet melt slightly into the liquids.
- Add fresh fruit slices and mint sprigs if desired for garnish.
- Serve immediately in punch glasses, scooping some sherbet with the liquid for each serving.
- Refill soda as needed and add more scoops of sherbet if the punch level drops.
Notes
- For a fun variation, use flavored sparkling water or ginger ale in place of lemon-lime soda.
- For extra citrus flavor, add a splash of lime juice.
- To make ahead: assemble up to step 4 then refrigerate; add soda and garnishes just before serving.
- Non‑alcoholic as written; for an adult version, add 1–2 cups of vodka or rum.
- Sherbet scoops can be frozen into ice cube trays ahead of time to reduce melting.
