Description

A vibrant, fruity party punch combining scoops of rainbow sherbet with citrus sodas for a colorful and refreshing beverage.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart rainbow sherbet (about 4 cups)
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7-Up), chilled
  • 2 cups pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 cup orange juice, chilled
  • Fresh fruit slices for garnish (optional) – such as oranges, lemons, limes
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large punch bowl, add scoops of rainbow sherbet evenly across the bottom.
  2. Slowly pour the chilled pineapple juice and orange juice over the sherbet.
  3. Gradually add the chilled lemon-lime soda to avoid excessive foam.
  4. Gently stir once to combine; let the sherbet melt slightly into the liquids.
  5. Add fresh fruit slices and mint sprigs if desired for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately in punch glasses, scooping some sherbet with the liquid for each serving.
  7. Refill soda as needed and add more scoops of sherbet if the punch level drops.

Notes

  • For a fun variation, use flavored sparkling water or ginger ale in place of lemon-lime soda.
  • For extra citrus flavor, add a splash of lime juice.
  • To make ahead: assemble up to step 4 then refrigerate; add soda and garnishes just before serving.
  • Non‑alcoholic as written; for an adult version, add 1–2 cups of vodka or rum.
  • Sherbet scoops can be frozen into ice cube trays ahead of time to reduce melting.
