Description
A quick and delicious dessert made with ripe bananas caramelized in brown sugar and butter. Perfect as a topping or a sweet treat on its own.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Add brown sugar and stir until it dissolves and starts to bubble.
- Place banana slices in the skillet in a single layer.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes on each side until the bananas are golden and caramelized.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and a pinch of salt if desired.
- Serve immediately on toast, pancakes, ice cream, or enjoy alone.
Notes
- Use firm-ripe bananas to avoid mushiness.
- Add a splash of vanilla or rum for extra flavor.
- Best served fresh and warm.
