Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and stir, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Add the lemon juice (optional) and return the chicken to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  7. Serve the chicken with the garlic butter sauce poured over the top.

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the sauce.
