Ingredients
Scale
For the Crescents
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For the Maple Glaze
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1–2 teaspoons milk (as needed for consistency)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
- Mix Pumpkin Filling: In a small bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and fully incorporated to create the flavorful filling.
- Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles, which will serve as the base for each crescent.
- Assemble Crescents: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the pumpkin filling onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up each triangle towards the narrow point to enclose the filling, then gently curve into a crescent shape. Place the assembled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spaced evenly.
- Bake Crescents: Bake the filled crescents in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare Maple Glaze: While the crescents bake, whisk together powdered sugar, pure maple syrup, and 1 to 2 teaspoons of milk, adding milk gradually until achieving a smooth, pourable consistency. Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.
- Glaze and Serve: Once the crescents have cooled slightly, drizzle them generously with the maple glaze. Serve warm or at room temperature for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans on top of the crescents before baking.
- These crescents are best eaten the same day for optimal freshness but can be stored airtight for up to 2 days.
- Reheat briefly before serving if desired to regain warmth and softness.
