Description

A flavorful and easy Pulled BBQ Chicken made in the crock pot. Perfect for sandwiches, sliders, or served over rice, this dish is tender, juicy, and packed with smoky BBQ flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Buns or sandwich rolls (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crock pot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and stir to coat with the sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 15-20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  8. Serve hot on buns, sliders, or over rice as desired.

Notes

  • Use store-bought or homemade BBQ sauce depending on your preference.
  • Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier option.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
