Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa powder over medium heat.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for 1 minute while stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Add oats and mix until well combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper or parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Let the cookies cool at room temperature until set, about 30 minutes.
Notes
- Use quick oats for best texture; old-fashioned oats may result in a chewier cookie.
- For a richer flavor, try using dark cocoa powder.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
