Description

Panda Express Shanghai Angus Steak is a savory stir-fry dish featuring tender Angus steak, crisp vegetables, and a bold, slightly sweet Asian-style sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Angus steak, sliced thinly
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp water (optional, for thinning sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sliced Angus steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add marinated steak and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Add bell peppers, onion, mushrooms, and asparagus. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return steak to skillet and stir to combine with vegetables.
  7. If needed, add 1 tbsp water to thin the sauce and stir-fry for another minute.
  8. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Use pre-cut Angus steak for convenience.
  • Adjust sauce to taste for more sweetness or saltiness.
  • Add chili flakes or sriracha for extra heat.
  • Can substitute other vegetables based on preference.
