Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Layer
- 1 box brownie mix plus ingredients listed on the box (typically 2 eggs, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, and 1/4 cup water)
Blondie Layer
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Additional
- 20 Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it to ensure easy removal of the bars.
- Make Brownie Base: Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions (usually mixing the brownie mix with eggs, vegetable oil, and water). Spread the batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Add Oreo Layer: Arrange the Oreo cookies in a single layer evenly over the brownie batter, pressing lightly to ensure they stay in place.
- Mix Blondie Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined. Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt just until incorporated. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
- Assemble Layers: Carefully spread the blondie batter evenly over the Oreo cookie layer, making sure it covers all the cookies completely.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 16 squares and serving. For cleaner slices, chill the bars for 1 hour prior to cutting.
Notes
- For extra chocolate flavor, add 1/2 cup chocolate chips to the blondie batter.
- Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
- Chilling the bars for 1 hour before cutting results in cleaner, neater slices.
