Ingredients
-
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
-
1/4 cup granulated sugar
-
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
-
1/8 tsp salt
-
2 tbsp vegetable oil (or melted butter)
-
3 tbsp water
-
1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
-
Chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
-
In a microwave-safe mug or small bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
-
Add the oil, water, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined.
-
Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
-
Microwave on high for 60 to 90 seconds, depending on your microwave’s wattage. Start checking at 60 seconds.
-
Let cool for a minute or two before digging in. Enjoy warm, straight from the mug!
Notes
-
Add a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top for an extra treat.
-
Don’t overcook—microwaves vary, and the brownie will continue to cook slightly after removing it.
-
You can double the recipe for a larger portion, but adjust the cook time accordingly.
