Description

These Mini Heart-Shaped Pizzas are a delightful and festive treat perfect for parties, Valentine’s Day, or a fun kids’ lunch. Featuring a crispy golden crust topped with rich mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and optional pepperoni, these bite-sized pizzas are easy to make and sure to please all ages.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Base

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • flour (for dusting)

Toppings

  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 20–25 slices pepperoni (mini or regular, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Dough: Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the pizza dough to about ¼-inch thickness.
  2. Cut Dough into Hearts: Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter (3–4 inches wide) to cut out heart shapes from the rolled dough. Reroll the scraps to cut out 8–10 mini pizzas total.
  3. Assemble Mini Pizzas: Place the heart-shaped dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush each one with olive oil. Spread a small spoonful of pizza sauce over each heart shape, then sprinkle evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  4. Add Toppings and Season: Top each mini pizza with pepperoni slices if using, and sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning on top.
  5. Bake: Bake the mini pizzas in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust turns golden and crisp.
  6. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for 2–3 minutes before serving for best enjoyment.

Notes

  • Perfect for parties, Valentine’s Day, or a fun kids’ lunch.
  • Try topping with sliced olives, bell peppers, or mushrooms for variety.
  • Use crescent roll dough for a flakier crust alternative.
