Pizza Base
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- flour (for dusting)
Toppings
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 20–25 slices pepperoni (mini or regular, optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Dough: Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the pizza dough to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Cut Dough into Hearts: Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter (3–4 inches wide) to cut out heart shapes from the rolled dough. Reroll the scraps to cut out 8–10 mini pizzas total.
- Assemble Mini Pizzas: Place the heart-shaped dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush each one with olive oil. Spread a small spoonful of pizza sauce over each heart shape, then sprinkle evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Add Toppings and Season: Top each mini pizza with pepperoni slices if using, and sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning on top.
- Bake: Bake the mini pizzas in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust turns golden and crisp.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for 2–3 minutes before serving for best enjoyment.
Notes
