Description

This Master Steak Marinade recipe offers a perfect blend of tangy, savory, and slightly spicy flavors that deeply penetrate your steaks, making them tender and flavorful. Simple to prepare and ideal for grilling, this marinade ensures juicy, delicious steaks every time.

Ingredients

Scale

Marinade Ingredients

  • â…“ cup red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Main Ingredient

  • 6 steaks (your choice of cut)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: Whisk together the red wine vinegar, chili sauce, vegetable oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic in a bowl until well combined to develop a balanced and flavorful marinade.
  2. Marinate the Steaks: Place the steaks inside a resealable ziplock bag, then pour the marinade over them, ensuring the steaks are completely coated. Seal the bag tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse the meat deeply.
  3. Grill the Steaks: Remove the steaks from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade. Grill the steaks over medium-high heat until they reach your desired level of doneness, turning once for even cooking. Let the steaks rest a few minutes before serving to retain juices and enhance flavor.

Notes

  • Marinating time can be extended up to 4 hours for more intense flavor, but avoid exceeding 6 hours to prevent meat from becoming mushy.
  • For best results, use fresh garlic and quality soy and Worcestershire sauces.
  • The recipe works well with various steak cuts, including sirloin, ribeye, or flank steak.
  • If grilling is not possible, you can also pan-sear the steaks in a hot skillet.
  • Always discard used marinade to avoid food contamination.
