Description

This Maple Mustard Salmon is sweet, tangy, and perfectly baked for a quick and healthy dinner. The glaze comes together in minutes using pantry staples like maple syrup and Dijon mustard, creating a flavorful coating for tender, flaky salmon.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard (optional for texture)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley or lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard (if using), olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

  4. Spoon or brush the maple mustard glaze over each fillet, coating them evenly.

  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  6. Remove from oven and let rest for a minute or two. Garnish with parsley or lemon wedges if desired, and serve.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil the salmon for the last 1–2 minutes.

  • You can marinate the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes before baking for deeper flavor.

  • Works great with skin-on or skinless salmon.
