Description
This Maple Mustard Salmon is sweet, tangy, and perfectly baked for a quick and healthy dinner. The glaze comes together in minutes using pantry staples like maple syrup and Dijon mustard, creating a flavorful coating for tender, flaky salmon.
Ingredients
-
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
-
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
-
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
-
1 tablespoon whole grain mustard (optional for texture)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley or lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard (if using), olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
-
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Spoon or brush the maple mustard glaze over each fillet, coating them evenly.
-
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
-
Remove from oven and let rest for a minute or two. Garnish with parsley or lemon wedges if desired, and serve.
Notes
-
For extra caramelization, broil the salmon for the last 1–2 minutes.
-
You can marinate the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes before baking for deeper flavor.
-
Works great with skin-on or skinless salmon.
