- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional for sweetness)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, stir in lemon zest and honey, and bring to a simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
