Description

A tangy and savory Lemon Chicken dish featuring juicy chicken breasts cooked in a zesty lemon garlic sauce, perfect for a light yet flavorful meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional for sweetness)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  2. Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, stir in lemon zest and honey, and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier version.
  • Adjust lemon juice to taste for more or less tanginess.
  • Pairs well with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.
