Description

These Jalapeno Popper Cream Cheese Pinwheels are a quick and delicious appetizer made with tortillas filled with a creamy, cheesy, and mildly spicy jalapeno mixture. Perfect for parties, game days, or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickled jalapenos (adjust to taste)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, crumbled bacon, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Lay out the tortillas on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla.
  3. Roll each tortilla tightly into a log, then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  4. After chilling, unwrap the tortillas and slice into 1-inch pinwheels.
  5. Arrange on a platter and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add fresh chopped jalapenos to the mix.
  • These can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
  • Use low-fat cream cheese and sour cream for a lighter version.
