Iowa Party Bites are a crowd-pleasing appetizer made with crescent dough, seasoned ground beef, cheese, and pickles, capturing the flavors of a classic Midwestern cheeseburger in bite-sized form.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese and chopped pickles to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place a spoonful of beef mixture on each triangle and roll up.
- Place rolls on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use pepper jack cheese for a spicy twist.
- Serve with ketchup, mustard, or ranch dipping sauce.
- Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven.
