Description

This Instant Pot Mac and Cheese is a creamy, cheesy, and quick comfort food classic made entirely in one pot. Perfect for busy weeknights or satisfying cravings in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place macaroni, water, salt, and butter in the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
  2. Close the lid and set valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
  3. Quick release the pressure once cooking time is complete.
  4. Stir the pasta, then add evaporated milk, cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder (if using), and black pepper.
  5. Stir until cheeses are melted and sauce is creamy. Add more milk if needed for desired consistency.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for best melting and texture.
  • Add cooked bacon, hot sauce, or herbs for extra flavor.
  • Double the recipe for larger servings – just keep an eye on pressure levels.
