Ingredients
For the Hot Honey:
-
1/2 cup honey
-
1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
-
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
For the Pizzas:
-
2 flatbreads or naan
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1/2 cup cooked chicken (rotisserie or grilled), shredded
-
1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
-
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or basil (optional)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Make the hot honey: In a small saucepan, combine honey and red pepper flakes. Warm over low heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in apple cider vinegar. Let it sit while you prepare the pizzas.
-
Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place flatbreads on a baking sheet.
-
Prep the base: In a small bowl, mix olive oil with minced garlic. Brush the mixture evenly over the flatbreads.
-
Add toppings: Sprinkle mozzarella over the flatbreads, then top with cooked chicken, red onion, salt, and pepper.
-
Bake: Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges of the flatbread are golden.
-
Finish & serve: Drizzle with hot honey and sprinkle with fresh herbs, if using. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
-
Add crushed red pepper on top for extra heat.
-
Swap chicken for pepperoni, bacon, or make it vegetarian with mushrooms and bell peppers.
-
Store leftover hot honey in a jar – it’s great on everything from fried chicken to biscuits
