Description
A spicy, tangy twist on a classic Caesar salad featuring hot honey–blackened shrimp atop crisp romaine with creamy Caesar dressing.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tbsp blackening seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp hot honey (liquid honey infused with chili)
- 1 large head Romaine lettuce, chopped
- ½ cup croutons
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for garnish
- ½ cup Caesar dressing
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss shrimp with blackening seasoning until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.
- Drizzle hot honey over cooked shrimp in skillet; toss to coat and remove from heat.
- In a large salad bowl, combine chopped Romaine, croutons, Parmesan, and Caesar dressing; toss to coat evenly.
- Top salad with hot‑honey blackened shrimp.
- Garnish with extra Parmesan and lemon wedges. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
Notes
- Adjust hot honey quantity to control spice level.
- Use homemade Caesar dressing for a fresher flavor.
- Serve immediately so shrimp stays crisp.
- Blackening seasoning can be store‑bought or homemade.
- For added texture, top with shaved Parmesan or cracked black pepper.
