Description

A sweet and spicy twist on a classic chicken salad, combining tender chicken with a flavorful honey-hot dressing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Mixed greens, for serving
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, honey, hot sauce, and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Add the shredded chicken, celery, red onion, and carrots to the bowl.
  3. Stir until all ingredients are well coated with the dressing.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve on a bed of mixed greens and garnish with chopped pecans or walnuts if desired.
