Description

Heaven On Earth Cake is a light and creamy dessert made with angel food cake, cherry pie filling, vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. It’s cool, fluffy, and incredibly easy to make—a perfect no-bake treat for potlucks, holidays, or any time you want something sweet without turning on the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) angel food cake, cubed

  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • Optional: Sliced almonds or extra cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, and sour cream until smooth and slightly thickened. Set aside.

  2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread half of the cubed angel food cake evenly over the bottom.

  3. Spoon about half of the cherry pie filling over the cake layer.

  4. Add the remaining angel food cake cubes over the cherries.

  5. Pour the vanilla pudding mixture evenly over the top of the cake.

  6. Spread the whipped topping evenly over everything.

  7. Spoon the remaining cherry pie filling on top and gently swirl it with a knife for a marbled effect.

  8. Garnish with sliced almonds or extra cherries, if desired.

  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to blend and the dessert to set.

Notes

  • You can use a homemade angel food cake if you prefer, but store-bought works great and saves time.

  • Try swapping the cherry pie filling for blueberry or strawberry to switch things up.

  • Let it chill overnight for best texture and flavor.
