Description
A quick and healthy seafood dish featuring tender shrimp and crisp broccoli sautéed in a flavorful garlic butter sauce. Perfect for a light dinner or lunch.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add broccoli and cook for 4–5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Return broccoli to the pan, add lemon juice and soy sauce (if using), and stir to combine.
- Cook for another 1–2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen shrimp—just make sure they’re fully thawed.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle with grated Parmesan or fresh parsley before serving.
- Serve over brown rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
