Description

These warm, melty ham and cheese sliders on sweet Hawaiian rolls are the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer or easy dinner. They’re buttery, cheesy, and packed with flavor—perfect for game day, parties, or a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls

  • 3/4 lb deli ham (thinly sliced)

  • 3/4 lb Swiss cheese (sliced)

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected.

  • Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Layer ham evenly over the rolls, followed by the Swiss cheese.

  • Add the top half of the rolls to close the sandwiches.

  • In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds (if using).

  • Pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

  • Remove foil and bake an additional 5-7 minutes until tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.

  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute Swiss cheese with provolone or cheddar.

  • Add a layer of pickles or a swipe of mayo for extra flavor.

  • These reheat well in the oven or air fryer.
