A savory and creamy ham and cheese quiche baked in a flaky pie crust. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup half-and-half or whole milk
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
- Evenly distribute the diced ham, chopped onion, and both cheeses in the pie crust.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half (or milk), salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese in the crust.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden.
- Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can use pre-made or homemade pie crust.
- Substitute ham with cooked bacon or sausage if preferred.
- Add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrients.
