Description

A savory and creamy ham and cheese quiche baked in a flaky pie crust. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half or whole milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
  3. Evenly distribute the diced ham, chopped onion, and both cheeses in the pie crust.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half (or milk), salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese in the crust.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden.
  7. Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
