Description
Grilled Corn on the Cob with Chili Lime Butter is a flavorful, zesty dish featuring sweet corn coated in a spicy, tangy butter made with chili powder, lime, and a hint of salt.
Ingredients
- 4 ears of corn, husked
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the corn on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until lightly charred and tender.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, chili powder, garlic powder, lime juice, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Once the corn is done grilling, remove it from the grill and brush it generously with the chili lime butter mixture.
- Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a smokier flavor, grill the corn with the husk on for the first 5 minutes, then remove the husk and continue grilling.
- Adjust the level of chili powder and cayenne pepper based on your spice preference.
- This recipe can be made dairy-free by substituting the butter with a plant-based alternative.
