Description

Indulge in these tender green beans coated in a luxurious creamy Parmesan sauce, a perfect side dish for any occasion.

Ingredients

Green Beans:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans (trimmed)

Creamy Parmesan Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Green Beans: Boil salted water, add green beans, cook for 3–4 minutes, drain, and set aside.
  2. Make Creamy Parmesan Sauce: Melt butter in a skillet, sauté garlic, add heavy cream, simmer, stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until slightly thickened.
  3. Combine and Serve: Add green beans to the skillet, toss in the sauce, heat through, transfer to a serving dish, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Add cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Best served immediately while the sauce is creamy and smooth.
