Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 cup grape soda
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons grape soda (for frosting)
- Purple food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles or candy grapes for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 cup grape soda, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Pour the batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- To make the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then grape soda, beating until fluffy. Add purple food coloring if desired.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with sprinkles or candy grapes.

- You can substitute grape soda with another flavored soda for variety.
