Description

These Grape Soda Cupcakes are a fun and fruity treat made with grape soda for a light and fluffy texture and a burst of grape flavor. Perfect for parties or a unique dessert twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup grape soda
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons grape soda (for frosting)
  • Purple food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles or candy grapes for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 cup grape soda, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  4. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  5. To make the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then grape soda, beating until fluffy. Add purple food coloring if desired.
  6. Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with sprinkles or candy grapes.

Notes

  • You can substitute grape soda with another flavored soda for variety.
  • Store cupcakes in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting to avoid melting the icing.
