Description

A rich and indulgent cake infused with coffee and layered with gooey caramel, perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings and impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup brewed strong coffee, cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round or square baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract, sour cream, and coffee until combined.
  6. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just incorporated.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle with half of the caramel sauce.
  8. Add remaining batter, then swirl in the rest of the caramel sauce on top.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool slightly before drizzling with additional caramel and serving warm.

Notes

  • Use espresso for a stronger coffee flavor.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
