1 lb (450g) white or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Remove from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
-
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
-
Great as a steak topping, side dish, or served over toasted bread.
-
You can add a splash of white wine or balsamic vinegar for extra depth.
