Description

These Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos are sweet, savory, and packed with flavor. Tender ground beef is cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, then glazed with a sticky honey BBQ blend. Wrapped in warm tortillas and topped with your favorite fixings, these tacos are a quick and tasty dinner the whole family will love.

Ingredients

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Tacos:

  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup diced red onion

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 lime, cut into wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks (about 6–8 minutes).

  4. Drain excess fat if needed. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Stir in the honey BBQ sauce and honey. Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.

  6. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.

  7. Assemble tacos by filling each tortilla with the beef mixture, then topping with lettuce, cheese, red onion, and cilantro.

  8. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Swap beef for ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option.

  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for some extra heat.

  • Leftover meat can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
