Soft and fluffy garlic bread rolls filled with buttery garlic and herb flavor, perfect as a side dish or snack.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese (if using).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 portions. Flatten each portion, add a teaspoon of the garlic mixture, and roll into a ball.
- Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet or in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush the hot rolls with the remaining melted butter and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute dried parsley for fresh if needed.
- These rolls freeze well—just reheat before serving.
- Optional: Add mozzarella for cheesy garlic rolls.
