Description
A savory, cheesy stuffed bread filled with ground beef, bacon, and melted cheese, perfect for game day or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb chopped bacon
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp steak seasoning
- 12 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 (13.8 oz) can thin crust pizza dough
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar-jack cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, cook onions and ground beef until beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
- Add bacon back to skillet, season with steak seasoning, and stir in Velveeta until melted. Remove from heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a 15×10-inch rectangle on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread meat mixture over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar-jack cheese over the meat mixture.
- Roll up the dough jelly-roll style and pinch the seam to seal.
- Place seam side down and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make the dipping sauce and serve with the sliced bread.
Notes
- You can substitute different cheeses or fillings based on preference.
- Ensure to drain grease well to avoid soggy dough.
- Letting it rest before slicing helps maintain the shape.
- Great for freezing and reheating for later use.
