Description

These Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are a crispy, golden twist on classic cheesecake. Creamy, sweet, and stuffed with fresh strawberries, they’re fried to perfection and finished with a dusting of powdered sugar. It’s like cheesecake and French toast had a delicious baby.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of white sandwich bread (crusts removed)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

  • Butter or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

  2. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.

  3. Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin. Spread a spoonful of the cheesecake mixture on one slice, then top with another to make a sandwich. Press the edges to seal.

  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon.

  5. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.

  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a bit of butter or oil.

  7. Fry the sandwiches for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

  8. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a touch of lemon zest to the cream cheese mix.

  • Try swapping strawberries for raspberries or blueberries.

  • Best served warm, but leftovers can be reheated in a toaster oven.
