Description

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually add water and stir until smooth.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes translucent.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in strawberry gelatin until completely dissolved. Let cool to room temperature.
  4. Arrange fresh strawberries in the baked pie crust.
  5. Pour the cooled gelatin mixture evenly over the strawberries.
  6. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Top with whipped cream before serving, if desired.
