Description

Savory and cheesy French Dip Sliders made with roast beef, melted provolone cheese, and buttery rolls, served with a flavorful au jus dipping sauce. Perfect for parties, game days, or an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb sliced deli roast beef
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 packet au jus mix
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Without separating the rolls, slice them in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the roast beef evenly over the rolls, followed by provolone cheese slices. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, dried minced onion, and Dijon mustard. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the au jus by combining the mix with 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve sliders warm with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • You can use Swiss cheese instead of provolone if preferred.
  • Sliders can be assembled ahead and baked before serving.
  • Adjust seasoning in the butter mixture to taste.
